Getaway Cash (GCash for short) is a discount points system.

The purpose is two-fold:

1. Getaway Cash enables you to keep track of the value of genuine discounts you receive as a member, and;
2. It enables us to guarantee the value you receive.

The genuine holiday discounts we achieve for you are generally not available via last-minute websites such as Wotif.com, travel agents such as Flight Centre or properties direct. Even if you can find a cheaper price, we will beat it by 15%*.

How it Works

When you join Australian Escapes Holiday Club for the first time (or when you renew or upgrade your membership) we establish your Getaway Cash account where we deposit 750 or more in Getaway Cash discount points. When you book and take a stay at one of our resorts you use Getaway Cash from your account as part of the price (the discount portion), and you pay the difference.

So Getaway Cash is simply the value of the discount. The advantage to you is that it enables you to keep track of the amount of genuine savings you are receiving as a member. The real value to you of course is that it gives you the certainty of knowing that you will receive what was promised when you joined.

Getaway Cash can be used for both domestic and international travel to get significant and real savings off what you would normally pay.

Getaway Cash™ Discount Points Included

If your membership includes Getaway Cash then your membership level (Silver, Gold etc.) determines the number of discount points available to you. Your GCash points will be between 750 and 3,000 points. Each point is worth one dollar ($1.00) discount. When you use GCash points towards the price of a stay you are saving that amount off what you would normally pay, just like a normal discount.

Unlimited Getaway Cash

If you are concerned that you might run out of Getaway Cash too quickly, the Platinum Ultimate membership includes unlimited Getaway Cash and might me the best option for you. Ask about it when you make a booking enquiry.

Free Conversion

You can convert your current membership for free when you make a booking and automatically receive a credit for your previous memberships and vouchers plus additional Getaway Cash to get started.

The savings you can get with your Getaway Cash vary depending on the flight and/or accommodation package.

On a short stay at a B&B in Tasmania the saving with Getaway Cash might be just $40. Getaway Cash on a stay at a 4.5-star resort on the Gold Coast at Christmas might save you $400. Or it might save you $2,000 on a flight and accommodation package to Thailand.

You can use your Getaway Cash Account to save big dollars on off-peak stays at many of our resorts. You get real cash discounts off the rates that everyone else pays for the same season. So if it's low season, you get 30 to 60% off the low season rate.

Get more only as you need it: Rather than buying vouchers in advance that you might never use, you can top-up your account ‘on-the-fly’ if you need to when you book.

Never expires: Discount vouchers generally have an expiry date. Your Getaway Cash Account is yours to use for so long as you remain a member, and a "maintenance" membership renewal works out to less than $5.00 a month.

You still receive a club membership card and it is your record of membership. Refer to your club card for your membership number and expiry date.

Getaway Cash Terms & Conditions of Use:

CONDITIONS:  1. Non-redeemable for cash:  Getaway Cash is a method of obtaining and measuring the value of savings offered by Australian Escapes. Getaway Cash points cannot be used for any other purpose and cannot be redeemed for cash, goods or services. 2. International travel:  Getaway Cash can be used towards international travel based on a comparison between Australian Escapes pricing and what would normally be payable if the booking was made through a non-Australian Escapes travel agent. A written quotation from a licensed travel agent is required. 3. Interest on points balance:  You must remain a member of Australian Escapes Holiday Club (AccomCorp Pty Ltd) to accumulate interest points on the balance of your Getaway Cash account and to be entitled to other benefits offered to members. Interest is paid in the form of Getaway Cash points. 4. Getaway Savings Guarantee: The guarantee applies to the use of  Getaway Cash points to save three times the amount paid for membership off accommodation and travel packages. Membership will be extended or renewed at no charge if usage is less than the minimum. The maximum number of renewal years is five (5). Any amount of Getaway Cash points given as a bonus is not included in the calculation of guaranteed usage.
