  • Leisure time at a black-sand beach & O'heo Gulch

  • Air-conditioned luxury mini-coach with large viewing windows
  • Circumnavigate the dormant Haleakala volcano

Revel in the unspoiled natural beauty of Maui's famous Road to Hana on this full-day, narrated bus tour. Travel in comfort as you wind your way up 68 miles (110 km) of legendary coastal roads, taking in the spectacular sights on the journey to mystical Hana. You'll first visit the quaint town of Paia. A former sugar plantation village, Paia is home to Ho'okipa beach and some of the best windsurfing in the world.

Look out at lush bamboo jungles, eucalyptus groves and roadside fruit stalls as you enter Kaumahina State Park. Stop at Keanae Lookout and soak up the picture-postcard views overlooking Keane Valley. Then continue the drive past the cascading Wailua Falls and over scenic bridges as you make your way towards Wainapanapa State Park and Beach. An ancient lava flow site, caves, black sand beaches and natural freshwater pools dominate the landscape.

After this stop, head to secluded beachside Hana. Enjoy an optional lunch buffet before travelling to the O'heo Gulch. Weather permitting, take a refreshing dip in the Seven Sacred Pools, a series of tiered basins carved into the rock by waterfalls.

Continue along the back of Haleakala where the tropical landscape has given way to expansive ranch land with wide open pastures interrupted by rugged canyons reaching from mountain to sea. The Pacific Ocean glitters as the afternoon sun sends its rays across the water. As you make your way around the final stretch of the dormant Haleakala volcano, take in the crisp mountain air at a final rest stop 2000 feet (609 m) above the ocean.
