You'll arrive at the Gold Coast airport, collect your hire car and head to your Main Beach ocean view accommodation. Depending on what time you arrive you can enjoy the resort facilities, go for a walk on the beach or walk to nearby Tedder Avenue, Main Beach for dinner. Like all days, your time is yours to spend as you wish. The included Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary visit is simply a great way to spend a couple of hours this afternoon. It is a heritage-listed zoological garden located just 30 minutes south of Surfers Paradise in Currumbin Valley. Explore the gardens and meet the friendly wildlife. The included bird show is not to be missed.
If you have some extra time after your visit we recommend taking a walk along Currumbin creek and inlet. With its calm blue waters, popular with kayak and paddle boarders, it is the perfect place for a swim.
Pack your towel and sunscreen and head down to Main Beach, arguably the best on the coast. We can also recommend Rainbow Bay (Snapper Rocks), Palm Beach and Currumbin Beach. All offer superb lunch options at their respective surf clubs. There is also shopping to be done at Pacific Fair shopping centre and Robina, near Burleigh Heads.
Tonight, you will enjoy a live show and delicious dinner with your choice of Dracula’s Cabaret or Australian Outback Spectacular.
Be whisked away from the endless, picturesque views of the Gold Coast to the unique wine trails of Mt. Tamborine. This is a unique opportunity to indulge in tastings of a hand-picked selection of wines produced by established wine makers and award-winning boutique wineries along the way including several family-run wineries.
The tour also includes a stopover at a Tamborine Mountain distillery where you may sample a selection of their world-famous liquors. Included is a sumptuous two-course lunch plus a special stop to indulge your cheese cravings at the Witches Cheese factory. Afterwards you can also sample some of the delicious fudge at Granny Macs.
Today we recommend putting on your walking shoes and taking the drive up to Springbrook National Park. It is home to trees so old they were around when Australia was connected to Antarctica. The pristine, spring-fed creeks leading to spectacular cascading falls are great to see.
The Natural Bridge is one of Springbrook’s most popular attractions and if you are willing to stay after dark you will have the incredible experience of seeing the glow worms light up.
Today is your last full day on "the Goldie". We recommend taking it easy and embracing the coastal lifestyle. Perhaps spend the morning relaxing by the pool or on the beach with a good book.
In the afternoon take a stroll through the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets. These twilight markets located on the Esplanade at the end of Cavill Mall operate all year round, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 9pm. Featuring artisan and iconic Australian goods, fresh produce (in season), gourmet provisions, handmade wares and SO much more. Marketta Street Food is a laneway dining experience with food vendors of all nationalities in the one space with live music to entertain.
Today marks the last day of your coastal escape. Perhaps you would like to enjoy breakfast at your new favourite cafe or visit your favourite beach before you say “see ya later” to the Gold Coast, returning your hire car and checking-in for your return flight home.
