DAY 1: BRISBANE - LONGREACH
Join us this afternoon as we board the spectacular Spirit of the Outback for the first-class train journey from Brisbane to Longreach. You will be travelling overnight so kick back, relax, and enjoy the the scenery and your sleeper cabin.

DAY 2: LONGREACH
We will arrive in Longreach in the afternoon. After disembarking, you will have some time to settle into your central accommodation before joining your tour friends for a delicious stone-grilled dinner at Ringers restaurant.

DAY 3: LONGREACH
Today you have the opportunity to live the real outback as you explore a historic working station. After breakfast, we'll head off on a guided tour of Nogo Station. In the historic shearing sheds, you’ll meet the merinos and marvel as the wool story unfolds. Then experience a station safari by open-top double-decker with a spectacular view of the vast plains where wedge-tailed eagles fly and local wildlife mingles.

In the afternoon, we'll embark on a relaxing sunset cruise along Thomson River. As the vibrant sunset colours fade into starlight, we dock at Smithy’s Outback Dinner & Show. Relax under the stars with table-service dining featuring camp-oven themed modern cuisine. Live on stage, talented musical performers will entertain you with their songs and stories.

DAY 4: LONGREACH
After breakfast, we will journey to Strathmore Station to meet our guide Maree who will share her passion for station life on a personalized tour. As we tour the station, learn about Santa Gertrudis cattle and Merino wool production. Hear how these third-generation graziers made water run uphill with their award-winning water system. Back at the homestead, you’ll have time to wander the tranquil gardens and enjoy some warm Outback hospitality including the delicious home-baked morning tea.

In the afternoon, we will spend some time exploring the famous Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame Museum before enjoying a unique dining experience as we watch the Outback Stockman's live show.

DAY 5: WINTON - LONGREACH
Follow in the footsteps of Banjo Paterson and ancient dinosaurs on today's full-day Winton tour. After breakfast, we will be transported 180 kilometers from Longreach to Winton, a town that holds a special place in local history and pre-history. Winton is known for its dinosaur fossils and the award-winning Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum is one of the highlights of the tour – an opportunity to learn more about the amazing creatures that once walked this part of the world.
This is Banjo Paterson country too and the town’s landmarks pay tribute to this Australian hero. You’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at the legendary North Gregory Hotel, before visiting the brand new Waltzing Matilda Centre.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at Ringers Restaurant.

DAY 6: ILFRACOMBE - LONGREACH
Experience a sense of freedom and adventure as you spend your morning exploring the charms of nearby Ilfracombe. We will visit the Machinery Mile and Heritage Museum before making our way to the famous 12 Mile where you can discover a magnificent example of 19th-century craftsmanship. Returning to Longreach in the early afternoon, you have some independent time available.

Camden park station tour
Reunite with the group in the late afternoon for a personalized tour of Camden Park Station. Visit a circa 1920 shearing shed and gain an insight into the history of grazing in the Outback on this extensive station tour. Enjoy dinner at sunset under the stunning outback sky.

DAY 7: LONGREACH - HOME
Today is the last day of your epic outback getaway. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at a local cafe before heading to the Qantas Founders Museum. Spend some time exploring the museum and learning about Queensland's aviation history before joining a guided tour of the airpark.
